IMPORTANT NOTICE:

The application deadline for the June 9-10, 2008 administration of the graphic sections and review of failed December 2007 sections of the LARE was April 1, 2008. Confirmation for the June 9-10, 2008 graphic sections and appointment times for the review sessions will be e-mailed out starting April 21, 2008.

The application deadline for the December 8-9, 2008 administration of the graphic sections and review sessions for the June 2008 LARE is October 1, 2008.

Effective September 16, 2007 the take-home version of the California Supplemental Examination was retired. In its place the LATC now administers a multiple-choice examination.

The Landscape Architects Technical Committee (LATC), under the purview of the California Architects Board (CAB), was created by the California Legislature to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public by establishing standards for licensure and enforcing the laws and regulations that govern the practice of landscape architecture in California. It is one of the numerous boards, bureaus, commissions, and committees within the Department of Consumer Affairs responsible for consumer protection and the regulation of licensed professionals.
